THE OCTOBER 3RD,2022 YORKANA BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING WAS HELD AT THE
BOROUGH OFFICE WITH FOLLOWING MEMBERS PRESENT; STEVE DAUGHERTY, CHRIS
GROSH ,MARV HENISE, AL SLADEK, LYN McELHENNY, DON DAUGHERTY, ABSENT, RUTHANN
PALACIOS.MAYOR SKIP McELHENNY WAS PRESENT.
PRES.STEVE OPENED THE MEETING AT 7:30 P.M. WITH PLEDGE AND INVOCATION BY LYN.
SEC, REPORT WAS SUBMITTED, CORRECTION TO THE MINUTES, TO TRY AND ONTACT SEO.
LYN MADE MOTION TO ACCEPT, DON SECONDED. MOTION CARRIED.
TREASURER REPORT WAS REVIEWED. AL MADE MOTION TO ACCEPT LYN SECONDED,
MOTION CARRIED.
CORPORAL RUBEN DEL LOS SANTONS FROM STATE POLICE PRESENT TO GIVE UPDATE
ON CALLS FROM JAN-OCT.—14 CALLS(1 MENTAL HEALTH) (NO BURGLARIES) (NO DRUG
OR DUIS}, (NO CRASHES) SOME FIRE WORKS COMPLAINTS, A FALSE$ ALARM,
HE STATED THAT 80% OF PA. IS COVERED BY STATE POLICE.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: ROOSTER EAGLE ASKED F0R $750 MORE , AL IS CONTACTING
HIM CONCERNING THE $1500 THAT WAS ADDED TO CONTRACT FOR ANY EXTRAS NEEDED.
NEW BUSINESS: TRICK OR TREAT WAS SET FOR OCT. 31- 6-8P.M.
HEATER UNITS TO BE SET AT 60 DEGREES UPSTAIRS AND 55 IN BASEMENT.
NITA WILL ORDER 4 RECYCLE CONTAINERS.
FIRE CO. – CAROL EMENHEISER IS NEW PRESIDENT, SCOTT FREDERICK, FIRE CHIEF. NITA
WILL TRY TO CONTACT PA. FIRE MARSHAL CONCERNING IF BOROUGH OWNS THE PROPERTY
AND HOW TO ACCORDING TO AGREEMENT TO HAVE THEM PUT OFFICE BACK IN BOROUGH.
COMPLAINT OF FLOWERS BLOCKING SIDEWALK AT 72 MAIN ST.
ALSO IF PICKUP BEHIND 86 MAIN IS INSPECTED OR LICENSED.
