Yorkana Borough Council MINUTES
JANUARY 7, 2019
The December 3, 2018 Yorkana Borough Council meeting was held at 56 Main St.
With following members present: Steve Daugherty, Marvin Henise, Don Daugherty,
Rosalyn McElhenny, Christine Grosh, Ruthann Palacios, Blade Kline. Mayor Lloyd McElhenny
Pres. Daugherty opened the meeting at 7:30 P.M. with Pledge and invocation by Rosalyn.
Secretary report was submitted: Ruthann made motion to accept, Lyn seconded, motion
Carried.
Treasurer report was reviewed: Chris made motion to accept, Marv seconded, carried.
Engineer Chris Kraft, prepared a letter to be sent to Robert and Anita Crum concerning
Deadline on complying with storm management regulations. Letter was approved for
Engineer to send.
Unfinished business: If Rod Weitkamp cannot remove tree by January, council will hire
Someone to do the removal.
EMA – Rosalyn attended Nov. meeting, due to Phil Smith retiring, Chris Eaton is
interested in position, Marv made motion, Don seconded to appoint him to position.
BUDGET: Ruthann made motion to adopt 2019 budget of $30,000, Blade seconded,
Motion carried.
Rosalyn made motion , Don seconded to appoint Michelle Klugh as animal enforcement
For 2019, motion carried
New Business: Following meeting dates were set for 2019, Jan7, Feb. 4, Mar. 4, Apr. 1,
May 6, June 3, July 1, Aug. 5, Sept. 3, Oct. 7 ,Nov. 4, Dec. 2
