YORKANA BOROUGH MINUTES
April 4, 2022
The March 7,2022 Yorkana Borough council meeting was held at the borough office,
With following members present: Steve Daugherty, Chris Grosh. Marv Henise, Don
Daugherty, Ruthann Palacios, and Al Sladek. Absent Lyn and Lloyd McElhenny
President Steve opened the meeting at 7:30 P.M. with pledge of allegiance
Sec. report was submitted. Ruthann made motion to accept, Don seconded. Motion carried.
Treasurer report was reviewed. Al suggested that CD be cashed in and deposited in general
Fund. Ruthann made motion to accept report, Chris seconded. Motion carried.
Unfinished business—bldg. repairs. Discussion on what needs to happen.
New heating system was installed. Pipes were removed.
New handicap toilet will be put in, on demand hot water heater to be put under vanity,
2 outside spigots and 1 in basement. Tub removed, council appointed, Marv, Al, and Don
To be the renovation committee and oversee needed repairs.
Marv reported 3 trees were removed @$2,000
Letter to residents to be sent to those who have not had septic pumped, deadline May 1 or
Will be fined $500 a day.
New storm water ordinance from engineer at April meeting.
Sec. to buy new computer.
Sec to have gas shut off at Bldg.
Yard sale was set for Sept. 9 and 10th
Spring cleanup May 3rd.
TaxCollector was bonded, delinquent taxes were filed at taxclaim.
Christ U.M. church was approved by County Commissioners as polling place.
Ruthann made motion to adjourn, Al seconded. Motion carried.
